A couple of things
Hi A couple of things. I think that trim should be trim to a line because as it stands it's just erase. Erase is a good and useful feature however I think it should be a separate command or even better an extension of trim but not the first operation. Erase doesn't let you trim through multiple line...

Offset
Is there a way of stopping the offset command joining two offset lines?
Sometimes when two lines are at right angles to each other and they are both offset- they are automatically joined by extending them into another right angle instead of simply offsetting the original lines.

accuracy lacking
Hi I'm having great trouble accurately moving objects. For example I drew a simple rectangle and placed construction lines on all four corners. I then selected the rectangle and not the construction lines and moved it 300mm to the right. I tried this several times and each time it moved 300mm to the...

repeat last command
Repeat last command function.
For example if you are offsetting lines at a certain distance and then want to change the distance but carry on offsetting lines then you have to come out of the offset command and go back in to set a new value- very time consuming.

Re: Sending views within a drawing via email
Thanks, I was trying to do it all through print preview. I see- you set up the print area in print preview and then choose print which then gives you the option to save as PDf. It worked!

Sending views within a drawing via email
I need to send an email with various views of a kitchen, that I'm designing, to a client. The question is- what is the best way to send different views within a drawing and not the whole drawing. If I save to PDF I don't seem to be able to specify views or print areas. By the way my client doesn't h...
Chamfer
I'm posting these as and when I come across them. Hope this is OK. The chamfer tool chamfers on the side where both centre points are- not very helpful! This should be to the side of the two lines that you click. I regularly set the chamfer to 0 and chamfer two lines to a right angle- this is very u...

Re: Snap driving me nuts!
Thanks for the info. In some way it's good to hear that it's not just me having these problems and as you say hopefully they will be sorted as and when the next version is released. I really like HD and I think it could be really something if these smaller issues were sorted. You need to be able to ...

Snap driving me nuts!
Hi Everyone I'm new to HD although not new to CAD in general. I am trying to make the transition from auto cad to HD however the snap function is driving me mad. I've noticed that, for example, when I dimension from an intersection of two lines to another intersection the snap function appears to wo...
