Re: Having a little difficulty with my title block

If i am looking at the right thing, i think you could just create the logo in HD without too much difficulty. Just use separate text boxes for "ZERO", "G", and "SYSTEMS". The The "G" could be rotated independently of the other words. Another option is to trace...

Re: videos

I just tried the vides myself. I could only open the "Import Symbol Libraries" and the "Convert Lines and Curves to Walls" videos. The one on inserting doors and windows would open a pop up window, but it looks like the video may be damaged. The last two would not even open. I cl...

Re: BLOG

Everything is good. Not retired (not even close), i just have not made the time to keep up with the blog. It kind of all fell apart last fall, and i just have not been able to get back into the habit of keeping it up. I do plan to reconvene sometime, but i just am not sure when. I am in the throes o...

Re: Curious about High Design

I would not say it is completely "bug free" and it certainly does have it's quirks. But overall, i am very happy having made the switch to HD from AutoCAD LT about five years ago. I would certainly say it is very stable. In the five years i have been using it, i have never had any issues w...

Re: PDF Printing Problems

Do you know if the print shop is sending the file directly to the printer or if they are using Adobe Acrobat to send the file? I have had all kinds of issues similar to what you are describing when printing PDFs created in HD through Adobe Acrobat. However, when the file is sent directly to the prin...

Re: exporting to pdfs

I use a local print shop for the bulk of my printing as i tend to use 18"x24" for my drawings and my printer at home only goes to 12"x18". Here is how i set up my files for printing. 1. I set up my title block Sheet at 1:1 scale and set it to show page extents and chose the appro...

Re: exporting to pdfs

I do not "Export" to PDF. I alway Print to PDF.

I just tried exporting one of my files that uses line type 41. It shows up as a straight line. Additionally, my fonts get messed up.

Try Printing to PDF and see if that fixes it.

Re: Sending views within a drawing via email

You will want to set up your print areas and project views then print to PDF. Go through the normal steps of printing, except choose "Save as PDF" from the pull down PDF menu in the bottom left corner of the print window instead of sending it to the printer. A word of warning though... I h...

Re: Snap driving me nuts!

I have be using HD for nigh on 6 years now, and i still have similar snap issues. It is just something i guess i have come to learn to live with. I also think it may be a problem with the display when zoomed way in. I have recently transitioned to a WYSIWYG way of working rather than assigning pen w...
