I am enjoying the blog too. Liking the section on selecting software. I feel like I've been in limbo for two years. Sampling this and that for my macbook pro. Windows and autocad background so I have a bazillion old project files. I like the look and simpleness of HD but it is very different from what I was used to. I've been using draftsight (free) but full of bugs. It is very autocad like. Now I'm looking at icadmac. Same engine as draftsight and corel but a little expensive. Plus it does not have tools like HD's wall/window and doors. I routinely have to send a dwg file back to a client and this is where I get lost. Plus it seems there are not a lot of symbols and hatches available in HD. I do mostly residential and need a handful of hatches for sidings, wood, stone, brick, conc. etc.
Anyway, I like your blog. Keep it coming!
