Prioritize Layer Ordering Over Object Ordering
I'm not sure the title makes a lick of sense. Here's what I'm after. I create layer 1, and draw a bunch of stuff. Then I add layer 2 and draw some more things. Then I go back to layer 1 and add some more things. When I display both layer 1 and layer 2, the objects are interleaved. Instead, I would l...

Re: Snapping inside symbols?
Nevermind. It seems I have a corrupt symbol. Now to figure out how to fix the symbol . . .

Snapping inside symbols?
Is it possible to snap to objects inside a symbol? I've whipped up some window framing symbols that I'm dropping into a floor plan. I'd like to connect lines between them. If I explode the symbol it works fine, but if not, it can't find any of the endpoints. Is there a magic key for this? Or does HD...

More Hatches
There are a number of standard symbols used in sections and elevations, for example earth, gravel, rubble, and batt insulation. It would be nice to have built in hatches for these. See the attached image files for a bunch of standard symbols for sections and elevations. HatchingMaterials.jpeg Hatchi...

Re: Precision Woes
I think the grid is what got me into trouble in the first place. If my grid is set to 1/4" and my precision is set to 1/4", I would figure that when I click on something, it would go the nearest 1/4". It seems, as it turns out, the precision setting, rather than enforcing a particular...

Re: Precision Woes
Wow. I really, really frustrated at this point. It seems, in proximity to other objects, the only way to easily draw things, is to just turn off object snapping. (If I don't, when I get something lined up and click, *poof*, it grabs a different corner of the object I'm lined up with and my new objec...

Precision Woes
I'm new to high design, so if I'm doing something wrong, please let me know. I have my grid set to 1/4". I also have my precision set to 1/4". I go to draw a framing member (rectangle) that butts up against another framing member. Regardless of whether I snap to other objects, or snap to g...

Enable Delete in Drawing Preferences->Grid
I think this is more of a bug fix than a feature request. For whatever reason, I can't use the delete key in the X & Y grid spacing boxes. Go to Preferences -> Grid. Click into the input boxes for X or Y spacing. I can select and overwrite the current value, but I can't delete the current value ...

Update the X & Y Coordinates During AutoScroll
The autoscroll feature is very nice, but the only thing that gets updated on screen during autoscrolling is the rulers. Unfortunately, I can't read them while auto scrolling, so I have to stop from time to time to ensure I'm in the correct spot. Ideally, the X and Y coordinates in the status bar wou...

Apply, Invert in Drawing Manager
There are times it would be nice to leave the drawing manager open and just hit "apply." For example, I want to select some things on a particular layer, to the exclusion of others. If there was an apply button, I could leave the drawing manager open on my second monitor. Then I could quic...
