There are two options: a) Set the scale before beginning the photogrammetry. You can use the normal controls like the button in the lower left hand side of the main window or use Drawing > Change Drawing Scale. b) • Continue the photogrammetry with the current scale; • when you are finished with the...

Re: Seganalazioni e consiglia

Thanks Tripp for the helpful link. This forum is intended to be English-only for the benefit of all. So, here is the English version of my previous reply. -- I found a small error in the italian localization of version 1.3. Placing the pointer over the toolbar and in particular over the Points tool ...

Got it, thanks. Sort of a "paint bucket" tool for hatches, which I agree is a huge timesaver.

The Hatch Selection tool looks for polygon objects (no matter if open or closed) or lines joined at the endpoints. Then it fills the region with the currently selected hatch.

Re: Wish list to HD 1.3

Importing a single DXF rather than batching a folder This is already possible through the "Open..." command. In Hatch, being able to select islands to hatch in addition to the current selction of dragging a box around the perimeter Hmm, do you mean being able to create blank islands insid...

Re: Seganalazioni e consiglia

Under the Window menu there are three items you can use to show or hide the palettes.
- Show/Hide Views
- Show/Hide Snaps
- Show/Hide Sheets (only visible if you are using the Pro)

Hope that helps!

Version 1.3.1 beta 1

We've uploaded a beta of version 1.3.1. Since this beta fixes many issues with DXF import , we thought it was worth making it public for anyone who is having difficulties importing drawings. The major issues were with blocks created in AutoCAD and text rotation. The link to the Beta downloads is htt...

Q. Cannot properly import my DXF file. What's up?

The DXF file format, until recent revisions, does not include any reference to the unit and scale used in the drawing. Even in more recent versions, it is up to the user or to the CAD software to set those attributes. HighDesign provides the DXF Import dialog to let you explicitly set those attribut...

Yes, we're familiar with SketchUp although we do not use it in our everyday work. It's mainly used for testing its compatibility with HighDesign. Construction lines would be helpful, I agree. They would be even more useful if the user could make them with any tool, not just a Measure tool, or by pre...

Re: constrained length

1. Using the constrained length option with the line tool when I press on the second point (end point of my line) the line disappears... Any ideas as to why? There is a problem in v 1.2.2 which makes the line disappear when using the Constrain Length command to start a line at a given distance and ...

I'm glad you noticed the ad, thanks! Other campaigns are planned as well. Don't worry you see so few registered users in this forum: there are much, much more HighDesign users! It's just that the vast majority of them are very quiet and silent. The next update will provide a link to this forum in th...

Re: Wish List: User Assignable Key Command Shortcuts

Sketch Up does this very nicely... ... and so will do HighDesign! Shortcuts are essential to any professional user. When used frequently, combinations of keys become automatisms. Having to change them when switching to another software actually results in a real slowdown of the workflow, with less ...

The new update 1.2.2 is now available. This version focuses on speed optimizations, improvements to the printing system and new options for the Dimension tool. In particular: - Screen redraws are faster. This is especially visible in projects with many symbols and hatches. - The Print Preview windo...

The differences of speed between Classic and OS X versions aren't specific to HighDesign. Many other applications had similar problems when ported to the "new" system. The main reason is that the new threading model in Mac OS X does not allow applications to take full control of the proces...
