selection window for trim and break

Enhance the trim function to selecti multiple items to trim via a select *window*, instead of clicking each item individually. Same deal for the 'break' feature.

click the item to break/trim ON, then selection window to select anything you want to trim/break.

overhead garage door

I'd like to propose a new door type - overhead lift or rolling garage door. I tried to fudge it as a 16' wide window, but the software inserted 'framing' in the middle of the 'window'. Final workaround: I exploded the window (so I could edit out the support framing) made the wall reappear, so I had ...

LOL, there's an insert if you hover? Hee, I need to be more patient & slower on the trigger finger. Thanks for the excellent tip!

Derek, I tried to open "drop Box" but got insufficient privs message. I logged in as guest. I haven't done disk mounts in a while, apologies if I'm missing the obvious :)

I use an older MS explorer trackball with thumbwheel. The movement of the trackball is read by laser instead of moving wheels, so no parts to get dirty. The only problem I've had is when a hair or piece of lint gets on the ball & the laser reader goes nuts. But you just pop out the ball, grab th...

I can't get 'double click to edit text' to work on rotated text (in my case, roted 90 degrees). Is there a trick I'm missing?

there is a great object alignment tool in the drop down menu when you choose multiple items and right (or CTRL+) click.
Oh my. This is why I love the forum so much! Thank you!

Macitect, is each piece of text a separate entity? If so, I really admire your alignment!!

Also, which font do you use? I've been looking for a good arch-handwritten font for the mac.

sharing/trading your custom symbols?

Is anyone interested in trading custom symbols they have created? If you don't like the idea of free sharing, how about listing what you have to offer & paying each other via PayPal? I haven't checked to see if HD will import custom symbols yet....I'm just testing the waters for interest. On a s...

window & door schedules

Is there an way to create window & door schedules that have the following: * aligned text for each 'cell' * bold header text * each 'cell' of info is outlined * entire schedule is double outlined * the tag # has the hex or round shape I use on the floorplan? I think the best comparison I can mak...

save print 'profiles' + draft mode to save ink

I'd like to save common print 'profiles'. Each profile would save all options found in the print preview menu. I'd also like to have a 'draft ink' mode that lays down 50% of the ink. Here's an example of how I'd use print profiles: * 8x11 draft bw stf (8x11, colors to black, shrink to fit page, incl...

Wow! Great idea. Count me as the second vote.

I'd love to see the initial creation date and last edit date in the Document Properties (as well as last edit date on printout).

I can't speak for other CAD software, but I've definitely seen it in excel, word and my coding editor (BBEdit).
