Re: symbols with entry fields...

The feature was added last year, in R6.5 I think. You can export the attributes of the selected symbol instance as CSV and tab-separated text.

Re: Printing bugs in R7 with Ventura

Thanks for your report. We have reviewed extensively printing and export to PDF and can confirm that the issue with texts labels in a circular frame in PDF is fixed now. As for the curved fills, it probably depends on the print resolution and the class of objects. For example, hatches only support a...

Re: Sheets and Layouts

We're working on that. What exactly do you find more confusing? It would help us to know what parts are less clear than others so we can focus on them in our tutorials. Thanks for your feedback, it is much appreciated! We're currently working on improving the compatibility with DWG files created by ...

Re: MacOS Ventura compatibility

We have been testing HD with Ventura since the earliest betas and the biggest issue is that Publish to PDF does not work. It does not crash, but returns a blank page. There is no workaround to make it work in R6.5, PDF files must be created through the Print To PDF. The new HighDesign update fixes t...

Re: Add ability to convert a vertex on polyline from straight line to arc

Hi Chris, Yes, that is possible via the Object Info panel. Use the "Convex" slider and field to change the amount of convexity of a segment. 1. Select the polyline and use the arrows on the Object Info panel to select the vertex (btw, we are adding a faster method to do that). 2. Use the C...

Re: Is it possible to join spline and polyline?

Hi Marco and thanks for your interest in HighDesign! Is there a way to create surfaces by joining splies and polylines? I'm also looking to find a way for merging, cutting or intersecting adjacent or overlapping surfaces. Is it possible? Not at this moment. We have plans to implement boolean operati...

Re: Problem with Text in 6.5 Pro

Thank you Erin for the video! It seems that pressing the space bar does activate another tool, in your case the Door tool, thus exiting the text input area. I would check the keyboard shortcut for the Door tool anyway: if it is empty, it could be really mapped to "space". Try assigning a d...

Re: Corrupted user library.

It would seem that your Wall Types library contains a damaged item that causes the crash. It would help a lot if you sent the crash log to support @ ilexsoft.com To isolate the problematic item, try the following: 1. Open Preferences and in the "Support Folder" section press the Show butto...

Re: HighDesign_R6.5_2022.1.3 compound walls

Joints between basic and compound walls are not 100% supported currently. To get a clean intersection, I'd suggest you select the basic wall, open its properties window and disable its start and end joints.

Re: Problem with Text in 6.5 Pro

Hi and thanks for your feedback! We are trying to reproduce the issue but nothing like that has happened so far in our tests. What exactly happens when the Text tool exits? Is it the input box that simply exits or does the current tool change from Text to something else? Normally, the space bar is a...
