Printing pen weights

Post by oikonomoud »

I am trying to print on a HP officejet 70, A2 size drawings, and the 0.5mm pen weight prints at about 3.5 mm.
The result looks very unatural and has nothing to do with the prints i am getting with my HP officejet 4355.
i have even tryied to print A4 sheets and A3 sheets instead of A2 (ISO standards) and i still get a thick line.
On the contrary the A4 prints i get from the officejet 4355 are what i draw on screen.

Any similar experience or advice on how to sort it out?

Do you have the "scale pen weights" option checked?

"scale pen weights"

Yes i did!

Apparently everything prints fine on the a4 printer, regardless of the scale of the drawing.

I do not know whether the printer could be somehow adjusted (i will call hp today).

my problem seems to be that lines don't print any thicker than .35mm no matter how thick i make them!
