Print drawing monochrome with one layer printed in colour

Post by EmmaCookson »

Hello,

I am trying to figure out how to print a drawing in monochrome and highlight the demolition lines (for example) in blue. I draw doors and walls etc on different layers then save a PDF monochrome to print. Other than saving a drawing sheet and changing all layers to black apart from the one I want to highlight is there a different/better way I should be using the layers?

Hope that makes sense.

Thank you

In the current version the best way to do that would probably be similar to what you mentioned, working with layer/object colours. Depending on the complexity of the drawing, it could be a good idea to create a Project View with some layers turned off and choose that from the Print window.

The next version will have a new feature called "Filters" that temporarily changes the appearance of the drawing based on user-defined criteria. Think of it as an enhancement of the current ability to view the drawing as monochromatic, sepia or wireframe.
