How do I set a drawing scale smaller than 1:1?

Post by Andrew »

Drawing scales smaller than 1:1 are usually displayed as 2:1, 5:1, etc. In HighDesign, you can set any drawing scale larger than 0. That means you can set a scale of, say, 1:0.5. Here's how to do that:

1. Choose Drawing > Change Drawing Scale... or click the scale button on the lower hand side of the main window.
2. In the dialog, type a decimal number between 0 and 1. Push OK.

Calculating the right factor is as simple as dividing 1 by the desired factor.

2:1 = 1/2 = 1:0.5
4:1 = 1/4 = 1:0.25
5:1 = 1/5 = 1:0.2
10:1 = 1/10 = 1:0.1
