To be useful for an architect, compound walls need some enhancements:
1 - Compound Walls: The ability to select a surface of a component to be the reference for drawing a wall is a critical need. For instance, an exterior wall is typically placed in reference to the face of the structural material (studs, etc.). Interior walls are placed in reference to the centerline of a stud. The centerline of the stud may not be the centerline of the wall. Need the ability to snap to any of the components.
2 - Site plans: Need to place property lines using heading and distance for each segment. Segments need to be straight or curved by radius. Bezier curves are important for drawing contour lines. Need to place roads and drives by centerline. That centerline must have straight and curved segments. Curved segments must be limited to tangential alignment.
Thanks

Re: Compound wall enhancement
We've designed this feature as the ability to select the leading component and face from a menu. It won't appear in the upcoming release as it is already in its final testing phase, but in the relase after that.msmith7 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 9:30 pm 1 - Compound Walls: The ability to select a surface of a component to be the reference for drawing a wall is a critical need. The leading component will be snappable at all times, and the other internal components will be snappable only when the specific snap option is active. This will prevent precision errors during drawing and editing.Need the ability to snap to any of the components.
We're working on several enhancements to the Poly-line tool. Perhaps an example of what you need could help us. Thanks!2 - Site plans: Need to place property lines using heading and distance for each segment. Segments need to be straight or curved by radius.
