Can't work out how to hide 'UPDATE PLAN EXPIRED' and 'Renew' button

Post by chrisheath »

How do I hide the "UPDATE PLAN EXPIRED" info and the 'Renew' button that are displayed in the top-right corner of the High Design window?

I could not find a switch in the settings to hide these.

I do a lot of screen recording and having this information permanently displayed is not a good look.

There is also an annoying notification window that displays the same expiry/renew information every time I open High Design. Having to dismiss it every time is counter productive. I could live with a reminder being displayed once a month on start-up, but every time is overkill.

Hi, to hide the Renew button, you can switch to full screen. That way the title bar and that button will be hidden.

The popup should not open on every launch, but every once in a while. I believe I've worked on it for R8, but could be mistaken. Anyway, I'll definitely look into it and see how it can be improved for a better experience.

Thanks Andrew

I use a 4K display and record in 1080p. That is, I’m only recording 1/4 of my display. If there was a switch in the settings where the renew button and ‘update plan expired’ text can be turned off, that would be great.

For the pop-up reminder, perhaps this can be set to appear once a month?

For my current project I ended up only showing the drawing area (no tool bars or menus), which actually worked well. But for some short videos, e.g., for my Facebook group, people always want to know what CAD app I am using. While I occasionally use High Design for small renovation projects and fit-outs, I use it more and more to design geometric patterns before exporting them to Affinity Designer and Cheetah 3D. Apps like illustrator and Affinity Designer just don’t have the precision to do this.

Cheers
Chris.
