Hello from the Pacific NW

Post by a. byron balogh »

Hello Ilexsoft and HighDesigners,

Thanks for letting me join the forum!

Long time PowerCADD user here and brand new to HighDesign. I’m a licensed architect in the USA (licensed in AZ, OR, WA) who has been using Macintosh in the practice of architecture since 1984, and the IBM PC before that. Some may recall my old company named CADmagic from the 1990's. Back then I was a consultant showing architects how to integrate the Mac into our daily practice. I was also reseller and trainer of PowerCADD and HP Plotters to other professionals here in the Pacific Northwest.

I’m looking forward to meeting you all here on the forum as I learn HighDesign. I plan on incorporating HighDesign into my design process and to produce architectural working drawings for my personal projects.

Best to you all!

Hello and welcome! There are several other PowerCADD users, though not all use the forums.
As always, we are more than glad to receive feedback and feature requests, so feel free to keep in touch with us anytime and let us know how HighDesign works for you. :)

Thanks Andrew!

We were spoiled with some pretty great features and tools in PowerCADD (WildTools!). But I can see HighDesign has some serious CAD features, too.

After I've had some time to play and work in HD, I will let you know my thoughts and maybe some requests.

Thanks,
Byron

Ditto. I've been absorbing HighDesign. Once I'm more fluent, I will also be happy to contribute my thoughts

Byron,

Welcome! I vaguely remember my switch to HighDesign from VectorWorks back in 2008 AD, learning HighDesign was very easy for me, my guess is you’ll be up to speed in no time.
